 | Both Year 7 and 8 students have the opportunity to participate in 16, one and half hour sessions of practical art per year, with each class split into two groups. One coming for approx. 6 weeks and the other following for the next 6 weeks.

| During these fun-filled sessions students will be taught a variety of technical knowledge and skills through an exploration of different medias. |  |

|
 | Compositional drawing, use and application of colour in painting, sculptural forms and print making are some of the experiences on offer. |
|
|
| Students will be encouraged to explore, problem solve, and create unique and imaginative compositions in a thematic approach to success. | .jpg&s=200) |

 | There is also a successful art extension programme to both year 7 and 8 artists. Whereby students are identified through timetabled art classes to design and create new and colourful murals to adorn the "gisint" environment. |
